Tony,

Thanks for your advice in realtion to the grouting. The paving suppliers really don't have a clue and recommend geofix irrespective of its suitability.

I have another question and I hope that you might help. I've set my sandstone slabs on a 100+mm cement bed over a compacted 50-100mm sub-base of harcore/gravel/sand.

1. Some of the smaller slabs are wobbling, what can I do? (I know that you advise re-setting in some previous advice but I'm unsure whether this applied to slabs laid directly into a cement base)

2. Is this bedding sufficient for parking a car??

Yep - lift and re-lay is the only viable option. GeoFix is a lazy answer from manufacturers that don't give a toss now they've got your money. I have severe reservations about suggesting GeoFix be used on perfect patios, let alone problem projects, and I would NEVER sanction its use on any vehicular area, despite what the Feb MBT DeGussa muppets say.

And yes - I'm STILL waiting for the long-promised defence of GeoFix from Feb MBT DeGussa. They keep promising to answer my concerns, and have been doing so for at least 3 years, but nothing ever materialises. Perhaps they don't actually have any answers.

If you've laid these flags/slabs on 100mm of concrete, they should be ok for vehicle use, but, if these are the imported Indian flagstones, then be aware that some of these are relatively soft, easily damaged, and very easily marked by tyres.
