I have read on the site that geofix is an unsatisfacory pointing material. I want the golden chalice of a quick and attractive yet durable alternative to wet pointing as my back dislikes it so very much (oh the tedium!) Does anyone know anything about this "rompex", is it just another geofix con that satisfies the customer short term only to deteriorate long term?

My own experience with Rompox from Romex (hence the confusion) is that is is a far superior product to Geo-Fix and, as far as I know, there are no long term problems. I hope to have a more in-depth examination of these jointing compounds uploaded some time in early summer, but it's proving easier to get co-operation from some manufacturer than others.
