Hi,
Two questions I hope you can help me with:-
1 I asked my builders merchant if they supplied coarse sand for patios. He suggested concrete sand or whin dust.

Can you advise if either is suitable?

2 I want to lay 60m2 of Marshall Heritage. How do I work out the m2 of each size of slab to order?

Thanks
Bobby

1 No you need a grit sand or sharp sand (same thing but different names) Don't no what whin dust is though.
2 what are the sizes of slabs?

Concrete sand is best but whin dust (the tailings from whinstone quarrying) is an acceptable second choice. It's a popular choice in the north-east of Eng-er-land, but totally unknown in other parts.

Deciding on how many of each size flag to use is a complicated process, explained to some extent on the Random Layouts page
