Hi,
Our 'new' house has a large (1200sqft+) patio, laid with 450x450 concrete 'riven' slabs with irregular edges. The slabs are stable but appear to be set on inch thick mortar blobs with 1/2"+ gaps. The 'blobs' do not fill the space under the slabs so, since there is next to no pointing left I have large volume gaps to fill.

I am considering using Geofix, but saw some uncomplementary posts on this site, and it seems expensive. Can anyone suggest an easy to use alternative. I'm not keen to test my skills with a wet mix, I think I'd just end up with a stained mess. :(
Thanks,
Maxie

If you do a search on this forum you will find several threads on pointing techniques.

The simplest method is described on the Pointing Case Study page.
