I am considering using some granite tiles for outside paving but they are really very thin - 10mm would be generous. They come from Italy and I'm assured they are designed to be used outside (around swimming pools). I'm just not sure how durable they'd be. Im also assuming that the best way to lay them would be on a rigid concrete base as they're so thin they would crack with any movement.

What do you think?

PS apolgies if I haven't done this quite right, trying to find my way around and I have looked through lots of previous posts!!!

Yes, they need to be mortar-bedded over a sound concrete base.

Granite is blodoy tough stuff and I would expect even 10mm to last longer than any of us!
