Hello, first time on this board which I came across while searching for info. I'm thinking of adding a 2nd paved area to our back garden but as funds are tight at the moment cost is an issue (hence I'll be trying to do it myself, gulp!)
Popped into my local DIY centre today as a starting point & noticed Keats Full Circle (1.8m) for under £50. Now I'm always dubious if something seems to cheap to be true, other circles tend to be way over £200. I asked an assistant why it was so cheap only to receive a 'Dunno why' and a look that said 'I'm only here 'cos me mum made me get a job'.
So here I am at your mercy. I can understand that different stone has different properties but is the Keats well priced for what it is? Also, are there any matching patio slabs?

Keats is a "mid-range" riven-effect wet cast patio flag. Some folk like it; some folk don't - it's one of those that, in my opinion, tries too hard to mimic what people think of as riven stone paving, rather than being a genuine reproduction, as is, say, the Tennyson range from the same manufacturer, Millstone from Stonemarket, or the Old Lancs from Westminster Stone.
Aesthetics aside, you can't knowck the quality. It's as good as any of the other mid-range products and is perfectly suitable for a patio, and at only 50 quid, it's a bargain.
In fact, it's so much of a bargain I think there must be summat up with it. Maybe it's last years stock, or some of the pieces are damaged, or it's not a complete circle (should be 1.73m radius - that's 3.5m diameter). However, if you like it, and you can't see owt amiss, get your wallet out quick before some other bugger does!

The chap I spoke to said it's always been that price. I've only just realized that they've only got it in one colour though. How much would this usually cost then?

Price varies from supplier to supplier, but it's usually nearer 150 quid, and often twice as much as that for a non-trade price. There's no way it was ever sold at 50 quid - 9.5m² of reasonable quality wet-cast paving for 50 quid??? Dream on!

The price I pay down here is £50 for the 1.8m diameter circle and around £170 for the 3.46m diameter version for trade. There are five colourways available, just depends which colours stockists are prepared to carry.

I wonder if that explains the discrepancy? If JJJ's circle is only 1800mm dia, then it's just the centre bstone and the two innermost rings. When he said "Full Circle 1.8m" I assumed he meant the full, centrestone and 4 ring circle that has a radius of roughly 1.8m
