Hi
I am hopiung someone can help.
I am looking for a nice smooth stone patio that will last at least 20-30 years without costing the bomb as I will probably rent the place out in 2-3 years.
Ideally upkeep will be minimal therefore.
The Millstone Flags look nice, however I like to see it in hand to truly gauge. Are there others I should gauge given I want a combination of good quality at a good price
Living in central West London, does anyone know of a good place to go view a variety of this style of stone flags or others?
My other question is I have some quote people coming around for the job. Is there a link as to what one should ask ie what bedding method do you employ etc etc type questions to avoid the cowboy that knows nothing?. Is the common procedure cash paid on finish or 50/50?
Lastly should I rely on sourcing the stone myself or will the person doing the job quote me the correct retail prices for the stone I choose?
Sorry just bought a flat, and this will be my first experience with Workmen, and the TV programmes you see, seem to make me very wary.
Appreciate any help, and apologise for the long post.

Read the main website - all the answers are there, notably on the Patio Paving page.
