Interior yorkstone floor - Mortar mix for bedding & grouting

Having excavated my Dining Room floor, shovelled in and compacted 3 tons of MOT stone, installed a DPM and 6� of (GEN2) concrete, I am now in a position to lay 15m2 of new riven Yorkstone flags. The flags are 50mm thick and I have 75mm of height between the surface of the concrete slab and the required finished height; this provides 25mm for bedding the slabs down. My question is what mortar mix would be most appropriate for this purpose? Also, I'm unsure whether an Ordinary Portland cement and builders sand grouting would “be the right colour� for this floor, any other suggestions (I'm not keen on anything pre-mixed) ? Thanks

If I'm not too late (been poorly - again!) then use a 6:1 mix of sand and OP Cement for the bedding. Use a 4:1 mix for the buttering and jointing and I'd suggest using a dark brown or black mortar dye for the final pointing as I find the dark colouring contrasts well with yorkstone, much better than the bog-standard uncoloured mortar.
