I wish I had a reliable supplier of quality tools. When will the usual suspects realise that most tradesmen prfer to spend good money on one set of good tools, and not be buying 1.99 special offers that last only two weeks.
I have my maul that I started with back when I was 17. It's a rubber and fibre model and cost me 21 quid, back in the days when I was doing well if I earned 30 quid in a week. Nowadays, the mauls have no fibre added, bounce like bloody Tigger when given any welly, and seem to last around a year before splitting - and they cost 25 quid. I'd much rather spend, say, 50 quid on a decent maul than 25 quid on summat that won't see out the season.
And the little baby mauls, clonkers as we call 'em, are even worse! Never buy one that has a little panel pin holding the head onto the shaft - these split as soon as you clout anything harder than a marshmallow!

As soon as I figure out how to cast quality tools out of concrete, you'll be the first to know.

I thought of another this aftrenoon while visiting a contractor....
I wish I had one of those clocks that the Builders' Merchants use, you know, the ones they have for when you're promised a delivery 'first drop' and it's 2:30 in the afternoon and still no sign of it! Knowing what the time is in BM-land could save untold wasted hours on site!

I've seen those clocks! They're made by the same guy who tells you the cheque's in the post.

The key here is to have the BMs main lorry driver as a really good mate.Never do I have to chase stuff up anymore, its so good he'll phone me to see if i'm ready yet!
Wonderful 
Oh and as for the wish list, any chance of the manufacturers making pallets strong enough to actually make it to site in one piece.
