We have a back and front path made up of 2' by 2' paving and we want to join the two - who knows why the council didn't do it in the first place...

Where can we buy these slabs? All the places we have looked at do more modern slabs.

Also, how easy is it to cut them - we will need to cut round the gate post.

Lastly what do we do about drainage? Actually this is our biggest problem...

Thanks

You can buy 2-by-2's (more correctly referred to as 600x600x50mm precast concrete British Standard B50 flags) from almost any decent BM. I'm surprised to hear you've had difficulty tracking them down!

Have you measured the flags? Are they 600x600mm or are they bang on 24" square? If they are the older imperial dimensions, you won't be able to buy a match from the BM, but if you 'phone a number of local paving contractors, some of them will be taking up older 2-by-2's as part of a new driveway or patio job, and you should be able to buy from them at around a quid per flag.

All the info you need regarding cutting and drainage are given on the main website.
