Hi,

Just got a quote for taking up approximately 16-20 flags in front of the house and relaying them on a morter bed to stop water holding in the low points - Â£352.50 inc VAT.

Does this seem realistic ? I will be getting other quotes, but want to be sure Im not being overcharged.

16-20 flags of what size?

Given that this represent at least a half-day's work, plus materials, it doesn't sound that unreasonable. The fact that you've been able to find someone willing to take on such a relatively minor job is a small miracle!

They are 24" by 34"

Probably 24" x 36", what are known as "Three-by-twos".

I still thinik it's a good price, as long as the work is up to scratch.
