This is my first post, I am not in the construction trade but I would appreciate any help or advice. I am having a new house built and we are scheduled to pour the slab tomorrow but it looks like we will get rain could even be thunder storm tomorrow night. We will also probably get rain throughout the rest of the week (its raining tonight too). Should we go ahead with the pour or not? And what are the possible problems if we do. Thanks for your help.

Light rain won't be a problem, but if it turns torrential, it's best to postpone the pour.

Rain doesn't have a detrimental effect on the quality of the concrete, but it can ruin the finish, especially if you're looking for a float or trowelled finish. However, if this is just a rough-tamp finish in preparation of further coverings, then you'll probably be ok.
