I have extended my driveway by about 1 foot by 10 feet and now need to fill the hole with conrete etc. Can I buy ready mixed concrete? or do I need to hire a concrete mixer.?
This part of the driveway prob. won't need to take the weight of my car.

Highly unlikely to get ready mixed for such a small quantity unless you know the driver who has part of an unused load to get rid of.

You could:
1. Hand mix in a wheel barrow
2. Hand mix on a board, protecting the ground with plastic sheeting.
3. Hire a mixer if you think it is worth the trouble.
4. Contact a company like Mixamate (www.mixamate.com) who will mix the exact amount you want. They mix, you lay.

1 foot by 10 foot by 4 inches is 0.3m x 3m x 0.1m in the 21st century, which equates to 0.09 cubic metres, roughly two barrowfuls. Although yu could buy in reday mix, they'd make you pay for it through the nose (and every other orifice you possess) so mixing your own is the best option.
