I'm wondering if any one can assist me out there in the paving world.
I am a building surveyor who has been asked to provide some advice on a worn tarmace drive.
The surface was laid in 2000 as a residential drive. The site is on a slight slope nothing major and the surface has worn in places , although not specifically in trafficed areas.
Some of the surface has bound together well were as other areas haven't. I do have some photos which may assist and can e mail these.
What i need to find out is what is the expected life of this surface, I was think in the region of 10-12 years and what sort of remedial repairs can be applied to increase its life.
I would be grateful of any assitance you can offer.
