We are about to sell house and driveway is looking tired. Good thick concrete base and previous owners had put a 10mm tarmac on top. This tarmac is all patchy and broken. What is the best/cheapest way to cover up and look new - but not cowboy. Had quote for £1500 to scrape off all old stuff and re-lay an inch of new tarmac and then put stoney stuff in it. Quite a large driveway with a steep incline so can't use gravel.
When we thought we were staying we got a quote for Ronadeck and was £5k. Any other options other than black tarmac?

I think about 60 m2.

Other than resins and black tarmac?? Red tarmac, perhaps?

£1500 for a 60sq.m driveway is not a bad price for a small domestic driveway in tarmac.
certainly better than the £80 per sq.m for a resin finish,does look good, but if your selling up it wouldnt add 4k to your selling price.

Actually - turns out to be 150m2 driveway (hubby measured last night instead of his guesswork!)
A friend had mentioned that tarmac would crack on top of existing concrete (within weeks) unless it's rubberised??

The quote you have received for 150m2 sounds about right, subject to all the usual if's, but's and maybe's.
And houses surveyed before and after installation have shown an increase in market value.
However this cannot of course be guaranteed!
