Last year I had my rear garden landscaped with Marshalls Heritage paving. I have been keeping it clean with soapy water, a stiff brush and some elbow grease. I was wondering if it was worth investing on a power washer? Will the results be any better?
Also I have an area of concrete (a former base for a garage) which could do with a clean but the soapy water and stiff brush method doesn't seem to have much effect - any suggestions?
Thanks for any advive in advance.

A power washer will certainly bring a whole new look to both the Heritage and the old concrete base, but you have to be careful with some of these wet-cast flags, as the sheer force of the water jet can sometimes damage the surface.

If you get one of the litle 50 quid jet washers from the DIY sheds and keep the jet/lance at a very shallow angle, you should be ok, but, as always, try a discreet corner somewhere, first.

As for the old concrete base, if you treat yourself to a 5 litre container of Patio Cleaner or Brick Cleaning Acid and that will bring it up like new. However, DO NOT use the cleaner/acid on the Heritage flags - it will RUIN them. :(

Good luck!
