Hi,
Looking for some advise on laying slabs around a pool. the slabs are 50x50x2.5cm and are reconstituted stone. Am a bit concerned about running out as i lay the slabs. Was considering a 5cm concrete bed then laying the slabs on a dry mix, help!!!!!!

I'm not sure what you mean by 'running out' - why not order enough of these flags, allowing a few extra for wastage?

I'm also not sure about what sort of sub-grade or sub-base you have at the moment, but I would suggest laying the flags on a dampish mortar mix (8:1) to ensure adequate bonding and waterproofing. That mortar bed shouldn't be more than 50mm thick, but it's what's under the mortar that concerns me. Is this bare ground, a prepared sub-base or a concrete base?
