I have a PIC driveway which is quite steep, sloping 2 1/2 feet from garage down to the road over about 15 feet. The contractor put anti-slip 'stuff' described as like 'minute balls' into the sealant yet it remains slippy. This was discussed b4 we had the drive & we had concerns as one contractor wouldn't quote due to steepness. Prior to sealing it wasn't slippy. As the acrylic sealant is wearing I feel that the problem is easing so I'm tempted to never reseal. I don't want to remove the drive, it's about 2 years old now. Is there anything anyone can suggest?

You can overlay it with Ronadeck Fast Grip but you'll end up with a finish which resembles sand, bonded to the PIC. Might not be what you wanted, but it'll be far safer.

The so-called anti-slip sealants that are used for PIC driveways are better than nowt, but are not the panacea they are sometimes made out to be. And as with much else in the construction industry, there are good, bad and indifferent anti-slip sealants.
It may be that your drive with a gradient of around 1:6 is too steep for even the best of them, but it's worth calling PICS in Newbury (01635 202224) and ask to speak to John Linley (tell him I referred you). If there is a suitable product on the market, he'll know about it, you can be certain!
