Hi Tony,
I would like to have a patio of approx 2.9 m in diameter and from your site have been able to decide that I would either like to use the Classico and Classico circle from TopPave or the tegula drivesett circle pack form Marshalls. The topPave web site kindly provides me with number of extra stone I would require to extend to 2.9m, and aslo gives me a choice of stone of 171 x 114 x 60 or 114 x 114 x 60 and gives a picture of using either these singularly or in combination. However the picture is very small and difficult to see.
If I should decide on the Marshalls circle I need to work out how many extra rings of blocks I would require and what blocks to use to extend with as their circle is only 2.575m in dia (very accurate). They have blocks, Large 240 x 160 x 50 mm, medium 160 x 160 x 50 mm, or small 120 x 160 x 50 mm. They also have tegula cobbles 80 x 80 x 60 mm (why higher?) or I could also use tegula deco 110 x 110 x 50. I would therefore greatly appreciate if you could draw me some circle of various designs suggesting which block size would be the best to extend with and so I could calculated how many extra blocks I would need (since the guy at Jewsons was not even aware you could extend the circular pack).
I would like the patio circle to have a finishing edge in a contrasting colour to the main circle and possibly an inner ring in the same colour. The blocks that I edge the patio with will be use to edge a gravel path and around a circular lawn of 4.5 m in diameter. I want ot know what you consider to be the best way of edging the patio if the blocks should follow the same direction as the circle i.e in a horizontal design or if I should change the orientation to vertical. However this I believe will greatly increase the number of blocks required.
I hope the above makes sense.
Thanks Kate
