Hi,

I would like some advice on selection of decorative edgings for patio and paths. I am struggling to find something which will contrast nicely with Stonemarket Honey Gold paving and which has a max size of 100 x 100 mm and a max of 60 mm high. I want this edging to sit in concrete or mortar (?) on an existing footing which frames a couple of paving circles 2.8 metres in diameter. I also plan to use the same edging to edge the straight sections of patio and to edge a gravel path with pavings inserted at intervals.

I have tried all the Marshalls products but none meet with female executive approval!

The Stonemarket Granite Setts look fine but are just too deep at 80x80x80 and I guess they cannot be cut?

Hope this makes sense.

Great web site (one of the best!), I have used it as a reference for my project.

Cheers

Budgie

There are dozens, nay, hundreds, of possibilities. I think your best bet is to acquire a selection of catalogues from the manufacturers listed on the Links section of the website and work your way through them, and visit a few landsacpe suppliers and garden centres to see what they have in stock.

If you like the look of the Stonemarket Granite Setts, you can cut them (it's hell of job) or you could try to source some smaller setts - 60x60x60 can be found in some places, or you could use 50-60mm thick granite flags cut into strips.
