Hi everyone, I have just finished my driveway having followed the fantastic instructions on this site.
It was backbreaking but so worthwhile.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to those instructions as they have saved me so much money!

My only questions now relate to the driveway now that it is finished - well the flags are down anyway!

the drive is hardcore, sand/cement mix and flag, with the sand cement mix between the flags.

Somebody told me that I should "water" the driveway before I use it, others have suggested waiting a week or so before usage.

I've looked through the site and forum, but can't find the answer.

Any help would be most appreciated as I don't want to make a mistake this far into the project!!!

Cheers

Water the driveway? Why? It's not a lawn or a garden - it doesn't need any water to function! If it's been properly laid, and the bedding/jointing have had 5-7 days or so to cure, then there's no need to hang about.

Water the driveway before using?? I've heard it all now! Next, they'll be saying that decking is a really good idea!!! ;)
