When my dead dishwasher was carried out, some liquid spilled from the hose and stained the paving a whiteish colour. How can I restore matters?

What have you tried so far, Ian? Hot, soapy water is the safest thing, then a power washer and, as a last resort, a so-called patio cleaner or brick cleaning acid.
