Hi there, 1st time poster, long time reader and researcher of the Paving Expert.

I've almost finished excavating an area for my driveway; previously it was walled off and had block paving. Once I'd removed the wall I realised the earth was about 10-15cm higher than pavement height, so a lot of excavating to get it to the required depth below the pavement... but a story for another day.

There doesn't seem to be much of a foundation along the rest of the wall for that matter but I've braced it with some pegs and they'll soon be concreted in along with the edgings. https://photos.app.goo.gl/i7QXpGuJ4ZdiToEi8

In short, how can I safely remove; if I can at all, this concrete footing, without the neighbours wall falling in? With it staying there, I can't excavate that bit to the required depth, and as it's only a few cm lower than the pavement, I can't really concrete any edging over the top without being higher than the pavement. The footing is ~45cm x~45cm x ~18cm.

Or does anybody else have any ideas of work arounds?

Cut it with a powered petrol saw with diamond blade.then use jack hammer. Or leave it in and cut your edgeing in ( not ideal)

Thanks for the suggestion @digerjones. About half an hour with a petrol saw and it's gone. Turns out it didn't form part of the foundation for the neighbours wall either do that was one less thing to worry about.
At least I don't have to faff around cutting the edging in now either.
