Tarmac Driveway - Restorer (or not!?)

Post: # 119978Post sanderg

Hi, having made the expensive mistake previously sealing my sandstone flags (which this forum helped me resolve and repair), I don't want to make the same mistake on my tarmac driveway. I have a circa 70sqm tarmac driveway that's 25yrs old, generally in a good state of repair but looking tired. There are a couple of areas where it's starting to crumble but it's very much at surface levels and structurally appears sound with no obvious pitting. I have recently treated it with a moss killer and just need to brush out some of the more stubborn moss growths.

My question is, do Tarmac Restorers work and can anyone recommend a product that they've had a good experience with. Or perhaps given its age am I better just getting it resurfaced? or maybe I'd be better getting a new resin bound surface course (if this is possible over the existing?)

Thanks in advance for your help.
