200mm edge - how to retain?

Hi,

I am looking to build a block paved patio off the house, but the lawn area is lower than that of the finished patio height by 200mm.
I don't mind the step, but Is there any specific method for retaining the blocks/mot1 along this edge? I've been racking my brains, but can only think of either:

A block kerb edging, but the highest I can find are 200mm high - I wouldn't be able to haunch the back edge.

Maybe a 600x600 x 50mm concrete slab on it's side, with the bottom 400mm set in concrete?

I would be massively grateful for any input on this one please,

Best wishes,
Kris

Ok, so i'm thinking of going for 2 x 100mm steps down to the lawn. I've read the: https://www.pavingexpert.com/steps_03 - building rectangular steps post on the main site, and have a question(s); can I build the steps without putting mortar in the joints on the kerb stones? Will they still be safe/secure? Cheers

You will be fine if using block paver kerb stones. Or your original question, you could use a pin kerb, 3"×2" concrete flag cut down

Thank you, appreciate you taking the time to respond. I think I'll go with the block paver stones without mortar between them.
