Expansion joints for porcelain paving

Post: # 119906Post JJBB123

Hi,

I will be soon laying dark porcelain slabs using a full wet bed, will I need expansion joints around walls, drainage channel and every few meters? Do I also need to leave the same expansion joint in the full wet bed? If so how big should the joint be? (The full wet bed will be laid on top of 15cm of type 1) my grout space will 5mm.

I have a path that will be between two walls and only 80cm wide, I assume I will not need any expansion joints here?

Any other tips, more than welcome!
Thank you in advance
Jason
