OK

Seems that it was not just me - 53 views, no replies :D

So I've gone for silver granite grit.

Thanks to all who had a look.

Hi LLL

Thanks for the reply.
No it was silver sand to go with white cement for the laying course - light coloured sandstone.

Found Cornwhaul who could supply [nation wide] silver granite sand (4-0) and grit (6-2).
After reading about the advantages of permeable laying course, decided to go with the grit.

Just hope I'm up the greater challenge of using this as I've never done this before. :o

Another question while you are on - could you recommend a quality SBR to mix with the white cement for the bond bridge.

Cheers

I know i will get shot down for this but we use Everbuild
never had any issues and it works
I use it on coping stones and pier caps too

sure there are fancy ones out there but everbuild works

Hi LLL

Thanks for the info

As you use this product (which I note is part of the Sika group), could you advise a mix ratio.
I mostly can only find info on what should be in it SBR/cement/water?
I've seen a few places which 'advise' some info on this but I'd rather a reliable source 8)
