Easyjoint (any good?) and Minimum Depth

Post: # 119873Post sparkymarkyboy

I've been researching jointing compounds and think easyjoint is the best route. Is easyjoint ok? Also, I think it says the minimum depth of joint should be 25mm, realistically what's the minimum depth I can get away with. Also, the instructions say something about being on a solid base!? I think the landscaper used blobs of cement, it's definitely not a full solid base - will it still be ok? Thanks in advance.
