White spots on block paving

Post: # 119826Post Spikem

I have a newly laid drive and the whole brickwork is covered in white/sandy coloured spots that won't wash off.

Any idea what may have caused this. I would upload an image but can't figure out how to upload just yet. Clicking on the small square box above just pints img onto the page. Thanks

It is how almost 8 moths since I posted this as it has now turned into a dispute between my contractor and the brick manufacturer. I am stuck in the middle of this and could really do with some good advice. I have numerous photographs but unable to upload to this forum due to settings. Any help welcome.

Hi Spikem

To add images you will need to upload them to shareable location - I think that google's blogger is one such (perhaps create a 'dummy' blog and upload your photos)

Get the photos' URL/address by right-clicking on them and selecting open image in new tab

Then enclose this URL in the IMG tags e.g. (I'm using curly brackets instead of the square one for text example):

(img)https://www.pavingexpert.com/templates/ ... t_logo.svg (/img)

which will produce the following

You may also be able to use imgur to host your pictures
