connecting to manhole

Discovered that downpipe from roof was running into soakaway about one metre from front corner of bungalow under driveway. Happily there is a brick lined manhole adjacent - invert depth 900mm - and it is designated as combined. The water company say I can tap into this. It is private so they don't need technical. Going to lay pipe in concrete to dig out as little as needed and core drill into up flow end. Whole run is only a metre. Design and work is subject to Building Control approval.

Would it be best to use a 68mm shoe to run into channel or is this not necessary.
What is minimum depth for excavation - currently tarmac but maybe block in future. Would 450 be enough?
Is a universal roddable gulley (from non specialist like Screwfix) adequate or is there a better option. Looked at various hoppers and traps but couldn't find a hopper going into a roddable trap.

Any advice appreciated.First time ever with this sort of thing.

firstly make sure that any connection is trapped
secondly make sure that connections into the manhole IC are made good with proper 2:1 sharp sand and cement
underground pipe work should always be 110mm upvc
