Do you want a sliding one or fixed?
you cant beat the bosch sd, I brought the sd12, it cuts through a new sleeper! Thats 125mm!
Expensive though, will set you back over 500, but great for decking

The evolution ones are ok buy any cheap sliding mitre saw as at the end of the day it's the blade that does the cutting so spend a bit extra on blades.
Wouldn't recommend cutting metal (solid metal not nails, screws etc) with them as they spin to fast and have no lubrication for the cut so you would just burn the blades out

im after a sliding one was thinking of spending 2-3 hundred quid but will have a look at the bosch :)

Makita are the best compound saws but for 300 you will get a 2nd fix saw

Personally makita have lost a bit due to poor service life of some tools currently really liking dewalt kit

I've got the sd10 110v and stand can't fault it great saw

well the bosch looks great but now im thinking because its really just for the workshop :p I might just get a decent table saw instead seen a nice bosch one on ebay not to far away

You did go mental. Thats not a mitre saw!nice bit of kit though! I quite like the idea of one to reduce fence panels down
