So... sent the digger back end of last week only to realise I need to slightly adjust levels and consequently had to hand dig.

Get regular small job that a micro would be useful for but can't really tow a trailer with one and payload would be too high with one on the truck. Also, can't take one of them and mini dumper in one trip so I was looking at these....

A lot of jobs I'd hire anyway but it'd be handy to have this for smaller jobs and also for little touch ups here and there.

What do you reckon?

You wouldn't be able to fit it through a side gate
Id say it would be more hassle than its worth although it does have a decent dig depth

Yeah, I know. It is a drawback. I've talked myself out of it already. I'll just have to do my trailer license and get a decent trailer. Problem being is I don't have the space for one or I'd have done it already.

Get a narrow access tracked, put it on the back of the truck, they weigh 800kg. Its what I do.
you can get a decent k008 for around 8k

Can't. Got a crewcab. Doesn't have the payload.

Doesn't really take my dumper legally either with tools in. It's a bit over I think even with that.

tb108 is 850kg
trailer license isnt hard to pass it just costs north of £500 for lessons with the test
if you can get hold of a box trailer maybe even a horse box would do (any trailer that you cant see over in the rear view mirror) you could just pay for the test although the reverse manoeuvre could be tricky without practice as touching the right line is a minor point and crossing the line is a fail.
if your through an instructor they will tell you on the trailer to line up x sticker in the mirror till such a point then y sticker till another. Then all you have to do is make sure the rear part of the trailer ends up in a marked section without going passed ( you can get out once to have a look) After that there is a 1 hour drive there is also some basic show me tell questions.

Can tow trailers. Was illegal without knowing for 2 years reversing day in day out up a s shaped driveway with obstacles but it's been a few years.

Storage is the issue. I'm packed right up. It's a no no for the time being...

I've been towing for years never had an issues with reversing but still managed to get a minor mark for the reverse as didn't start far enough over on the left. It's not the manoeuvre as such its more the positioning

So have I, but mines a cabstar, so ì am guessing you have a transit, as they have the poorest payload, about 750kg if I rememeber.
mines 1100kg

My old singlecab transit tipper had a payload of just over 1.4t

do the trailer test! Hire places also deliver to site so save you the hassle.
