What I often find is I break a bit of concrete and it's moving all around the place but I can't pull it out cos I can't get a hold of it so I have to obliterate it and pick out the pieces which is time consuming and still not easy always to pull the smaller bits out. Also, the breaker tend to bounce out of position so I can't always break things into smaller peices.
I'm after a claw. Sort of like a slab puller I guess or the same principle. Something that as I apply upward force it bites tighter.
Anyone know what such a device might be called?

Yeah its my usual go to tool. What I find myself doing is trying to hook it in and under and prising things up. Sometimes they just dont want to play. Same with a rotted fence post. There are times when literally only a small vertical force is need to free things but just can't grab it.
I often drill a hole in the side if there is something above ground and use a pick axe and then drill another as it raises.
You get a claw with the post puller but often I don't need a post puller or a heavy duty claw like that. Also 2k... currently skint

what about a pin, I use a 1500 metal pin for stuff like this,lots of leverage

No idea what a pin is.
For this sort of thing I have crow bars, grafts are ultra useful and what I call a demo bar. Not sure what it's called but it's pointed at one end and flat at the other. I also have a ground breaker bar which is a heavy buggering thing with a movable weight in it to take shock out of it but gives a double whack to whatever it's hitting. It's crap really unless you need to break a brick in half 2 ft down cos it tends to drive things into the ground b4 it breaks them. It's ultra good for deep roots though that are too big for the graft but don't justify getting your arm in there with a recip saw.

Post puller is too expensive and another large thing to cart about. Those digger grappling things are what I need in miniature hand held version

Get a putlock scaffold bar, and jam a
Pickaxe head in the end. Its a great levarage tool
I have used the claw attachment on its own, shove a long bar through for leverage. How much is the claw on its own?

not sure dan. I think over £200. It's a little too big though unless used as you stated. I'd like something a little smaller and lighter I think.
