Yes, when he can be arsed.

He spent a couple or three years working on commercial paving projects up in Scotland and was running his own gangs for a while, but, like his mother, he tends to fecklessness, and only works when he really has to.

It's bloody annoying because, when he *can* be arsed, he produces really good quality work.

He's back in Lankysheer now and trying to establish himself as a self-employed contractor but struggles to win work because his severe dyslexia means he can't produce a written presentation or professional looking estimate. I keep telling him he'd be better off subbying to someone else and just focussing on the installation - let someone else (not me!!!) look after the paperwork side of things - but in the time-honoured tradition, who ever listens to their owld feller until it's too late?

Just turned 29 (FFS!!!) last week.

I had more than my fill of running a contracting business before I was injured. Never again. Ever!

I have a reasonably good life now, and much less stress, which is what both my cardiac consultant and my ladyfriend want for me.

Doing the works easy it's the paperwork vat returns cis payments client liaisons and getting paid that's hard, at the legals with a non paying client now not fun.
