why the tether is that a UK HSE issues as the videos I have watched of the same machine on a steep hill was not tethered

on steep slope

this video is the first time I set eyes on one, takes some guts working on a slope so steep
sideways on a hillside working in a vineyard

Yeah was Severn Trent health and safety officer specifying it and to reduce erosion on the slope that might wash into the reservoir. They are go anywhere but can make a mess, the more mountain ones have small wheel and longer legs.

The way they run the hydraulics is something else they have a power line with dedicated pump, only 9 ton machine but equivilant hydraulic power of 21 tonner with only 80 litres of diesel in an 8 hour day.

Yeah it was my mate Eddie job, he had the long reach and was driving the anchor excavator, he's got one of the most tricked out excavators you'll ever see.

The Menzies run to something like £250k new, tyres on that are £2500 a pop!
