Can i use a wacker plate in the rain?

For the discussion of hand tools, power tools, operated and non-operated plant, and all sorts of kit associated with the paving and drainage trades

As per title, I will be using a wacker plate to compact down sub base for a patio, but weather forecast is not looking great. Is it a) safe to use in the rain, and b) will it affect the outcome of the job in any way?

Thanks

You can use a wacker in the rain but depending on the material you may struggle a bit.

Thanks, it's hardcore for subbase. I just didn't know if the machine itself would be damaged by rain.Cheers

hardcore doesn't mean much, would need photo or a receipt or something to identify it.
Machine won't be damaged by rain. Sub base might end up spongy though if the rain is really bad.
