Hi,

I'm going to hire a cement mixer and wacker plate from HSS (they have a hire pack with medium wacker + mixer which I think I'll go for). This is the first time I'll have used these so newbie question - will I be able to fit them in the back of an average sized car if I have the back seats down?

Try to find an independant hire shop. Hss will kill you on their prices

It's Â£70 inc vat for the mixer + wacker plate for a weekend (friday midday - monday midday) which seems a good price to me, but delivery + collection would be Â£54 inc vat, at that price I'd be better off buying a second hand mixer and just hiring the wacker plate

What area are you in? maybe one of us might know a decent hire firm in your area. The hire charges arnt too bad for that time, but transport is a joke.
