Been offerend x2 IM90s for £300 or 1 for £180.

I borrowed 1 of them a couple of weeks back for a fencing job and I must say, fantastic.

My good deal radar is going off but it's too much of a good deal isn't it.

What's the catch you reckon?

My mate is a carpenter and they are his bosses. Apparantly he's just doing admin from now on so doesn't need them. He's got like 6 or summin. Hmmmmmm

if there in good nick take them good deal the im90i and the im360i are prob the best guns on the market (that do work in the cold unlike the crapy 350/350+ )though the nails and gas are dearer that why paslode brought them out as the pat ran out on the d head nails and gas

I know one of them is cos I used it for a day. Battery is a little stiff to get out but that's small potatoes.

Yeah it's such a good deal it doesn't feel right. I'm gonna have a go on them tomorrow.

Now the question is do I sell one or keep it. If I sell one then I've paid nothing or close to nothing for the other but if it breaks I'll have to spend 300 on another second hand one and I'm back to square one. I don't need 2 really, handy but not necessary really.

Wonder why he doesn't just stick them on ebay, that's what I'm thinking. Maybe they're hot.

Don't like buying nicked stuff. I have done but nothing pisses me off than people who nick tools. It's the worst of all theiving IMO.

the biggest cnuts are the people that buy them forestboy

without a buyer there would be no market

I.E. since luton council has stopped picking up bulky items for free (it now charges £25)
there has been a massive rise of pissy mattress art installations all over the town
some have a map or ireland, australia, and even the outer hebrides all etched on to the mattress in bodily fluids

because there is no market for these niche items nobody nicks them so they stay there against walls ,trees, etc

however if you leave an old cooker on the pavement its gone in 60seconds
because of the scrap value
I have lost thousands of pounds worth to van and lock up thieves, and I believe that if there is a god I will catch one in flagrante one day

just looked on ebay and those prices might be about right

im90s seem to go for around a twoer

i bought a second hand one a few years back and it was nothing but trouble
I think you need to use them more or less every day otherwise the seals go

I'm probably just being cynical. The guy is an apprentice, and his boss is retiring from hands on work so..

Is there an IM90 as well as an IM90i then. Looking on ebay a lot of them sell for £300-350 second hand but that is the IM90i, not sure if one is an older model or summin.

the main thing is they need to work 100% because when they dont it starts costing big bucks

i cant recall any boss of mine retiring and giving away decent kit

as lll has said they do need to be used

the im350,im90i,im100i all have orings which deteriate after time

the im 350+,im360i dont use o rings but piston rings

so if you are going to use alot then go for it other i wouldnt bother

there is alot lot of guns going around at the moe as paslode are giving out the im360i to the big subbys trying to get them of the d head nails as they are loosing money and want us on the round drive nails

so new the 350+ about £300
the im90i £500+

I bought 1 for 180 in the end. I've fired about 60+ nails. Seems good.

I'll use it a fair bit I would imagine. Randomly here and there and heavily at least once a month.

It has definitely seen some action judging from the scratches and that but everything I own looks knackered but works properly. Just outdoors work things get beaten up. I've taken a chance. He is a mate though so should be fine. He's assured me it's got no issues. Just said lube it up every 3 months.

dont throw away your used gases as there is a trick to the old type gas with this gun

once used punchure the can and gently pick the blue nosel out of the top do this to a couple the blue tip will fit the gas so it can be used

people think they are different gases but they are not the im90i injects the gas and the 350 sprays the gas in only diffence this is why one gun works in the cold and the other one dont :)

Put the blue tip on what though? I'm not sure what you mean!
