been asked to price for digging a banking out to create a driveway 2metres deep 2 metres wide 15 metres long not our normal sort of dig off so could do with a bit of help
how many yards off muckaway will there be
is there a figure for digging out and loading
any advice welcomed ive got a figure of about 98 yards don't know if that's correct

assuming you are cutting a cube out the banking, then its 75m3 for specific gravity and bulking and you are at 120 tons wet or about 95 tons dry in earth/soil etc
with a 3 ton id want 2 days to dig it out but depends on what you are loading etc how you are getting rid of it, if you can load as you dig its obviously quicker
remember you are going to have to over dig to allow for reatining walls etc
has an engineer been involved?

i think you would be looking at 12 eight wheelers, if you could get a big machine in he could load them rather than use grab wagons
is the bank at a slope ?
methinks more like a weeks work for a 3 tonner and a banksman plus maybe dumper+ driver

ive allowed for over dig and it will be going in 8 wheeler roro skips don't have to move it far but wont be loading it straight into skips will have to pile it up at side of me
engineer has been involved to sort out wall
