random trivia time,
the finial on my porch came from harrods
I was looking for 1 on ebay and spotted 1 in bicester
when i asked the guy why he was selling it (brand new for a tenner) he explained they were shopfitters and had refitted harrods, they had to have 10 new finials made for the roof so had 12 made in case of breakages
1 did get broke and i have the other :;):
and its still only worth a tenner
