why are the kubota dipper arms on the mini and micro diggers not long enough to scrape up to the front blade??? it is getting on my wick because you cant pick up the last bit of any spoil!!! the takuchi's do and others why is this?

think the blades stick out further on the ones you can scrape up clean with. what i do is use the pedle to move the arm 90' then you can clean up a bit better.

Our kx71-3 does, our little jcb 8018 doesn't get within a foot of the blade. I find it very annoying.
Will deepend on the specification it was ordered in I guess some have deep dig for graves etc and to protect the blade and under carriage from damage. Majority of minis operated by less experienced operators to larger machines.

not tried that way digerjones , i will next time cheers
it is frustrating though when you cant get that final 50 - 60mm of spoil, its not a problem on the Volvo 3 ton machine but the Volvo 8 toner has the same problem
on the JCB 3 ton machine the boom is more offset than other machines and it gives you a blind spot on your right hand side when using the grading bucket which means you have to lean forward out of your seat to see the end of the bucket when your close to any buildings or walls, never had that problem with any other manufacturers machines

the main reason for the 008 not performing that is because primarily they were desgined as a hire machine, and there fore is it to prevent unskilled operators damaging the front blade with the bucket.
as diger jones says, if you move the digger arm offset you can get some, though not all of the spoil against the blade

my Hitachi ex16 wont clean right to the blade, so I put the blade down and lift the front of the machine and then off sett
the dipper arm, and it will then only leave a couple of shovels full behind

if you buy it outright, only 1/5 is. then 1/5 of whats left the next year and so on.
lease it, and each payment is 100% deductable!

i think its a bit of longer dipper on some, blade sticks out on others. its abit of both these reasons, they are all different. i now its a terrible thing to say but i supose you could always get out of the cab and shovel the last bit in the bucket, god forbid. ha ha

or the brickie waiting to pour concrete does it haha :;):
leasing can be a nightmare dan,a mate of mine did a lease scheme and has just paid his 5k balloon payment
sadly he still has to pay them 300 a year and also 15% of anything he sells the van for
there is a lot to be said for keeping new vehicles for just 3 years though, reliability is the main thing

your mate was done tony. there are several types of lease. I always lease purchase, and at the end (You don't have to have a balloon payment), I sell it to them and buy it back, and only pay them 2% of the value. they always says its only worth a pittance, and it ends up a good deal. then its mine to sell, or trade for another
