thought you might like to see an addition to my new truck i had made up.
Basically, they are aluminium chequer plate boxes, bolted onto the chassis , utilising the exsiting wasted space on the truck
Note one is longer than the other due to space allowance. They are handy for ratchet straps, wet rainsuits, open bags of cement when its raining etc. etc.

sounds similar to the conversio i did in the back of my cab. Fitted a shelf where there was already a ledge, and i keep two tool boxes and pots of nails there (and a bottle of milk in a cucstom made holder)

these boxes can be made to any size, and with a shelf. He even made the brackets and sent them. He also makes boxes for the back of pickups, and other vehicles. Very handy guy, and ver reasonalbe on the prices. The boxes are also tig welded, and have lockable handles too.

very very nice dan
did you fit yourself?
i think the battery and fuel tank on ours would block this type of box,but great idea nonetheless

yes i did fit them myself. The brackets bolted onto existing holes in the chassis.
My mate has a smaller cabstar, and he is having a couple made up, one just 200 wide, but its gogin to mean he can remove the box on the back that he keeps various bits and bobs in, and free up his tray.
I am sure you can squeeze a couple in tony ???

when i was an apprentice, i was made to size and then make these boxes for the company's wagons. this also included boxes to fit neatly into vans. hated it with a passion.
