Loader ramps for 7.5 tonner

some of you have mentioned loading ramps for wagons,

need to take 3ton kubota and 3 ton dumper etc. aluminum best but very expensive?

was thinking of having our fabricator knock some up for the occasional use it would get.

ideas or photos anyone for copies haha

scratch that only 2 metres long, thats not long enough is it to keep below the 30% degree recommended max angle.

hi Giles, i have a set on my 7.5 t to carry my bobcat 3 tonner, use them all the time permantly on the lorry, made buya company called raalloy, in the midlands, lorry is being mot'ed at the mo, when its back ill get telli number from them,
when i had them made they one the only company who would give me a ticket to say they will carry the weight, rated at 1.5 ton per side ,i paid 1k for them 7 years ago,they are still as good as day they was delivered, mine are almost 3m long 2 will be too sharpe angle to unload and load i also use them to run barrows up and big wacker and stuff
made from channel side ,t aluminium cross bars every 200mm,ali cheqer plate top, with a u shape hook the drops over the bar on tail gate lock MSH

giles our ramps are 3m long and rated to 3700kg per pair. so light you can lift with one hand.paid about 700 + vat a couple of years ago. will see if can dig out the invoice and let you know the number. theyve been used nearly everyday for crushers, diggers, even twin drum rollers and are still immaculate (ish).

i wouldnt bother with steel ones; tried that once. took 2 blokes to lift each ramp into place....

was going to mention if you make them out of steel how are planing to move them due to the weight. will be heavy. ???

i'm a 18 stone rugby player haha. i use a 12 ton herbst dump loader and its got steel ramps for upto 8ton machines now they are proper heavy hence why dont really use them just lower the machine off on its arm spin round and then lower off.

got some second hand ones couple of years old coming up for sale in next couple of weeks think they are rated 3.7 tonnes 12/13ft alloy made by sara ramps i think, cost 1300+vat new got a lip that sits behind tail bar on 7.5 tonner ???

We had a set made for us a couple of years back, cost £2k but they handle our 5 tonner with ease.

Alloy too.

giles, cant get to the invoice, accountant has all the stuff from that year. but if i remember right, they were from a company called access systems (?) in hertfordshire. try googling them? the ramps are actually made by a company called bavaria. simon

I brought two sets, a 2.4 and a 3m. I use the 3m for the digger/crusher and skiploader.
They are rated at 1.2 tonne the pair, but they test them to twice the capacity.

I brought them from a company called "the ramp people" at sed one year.
if you give them the height of the vehicle deck from the ground, they work out the length you need.
i guess you would need to spend around 1000 on a good set of ally ones . They also have a choice of security fittings on the end (hook chain etc) to stop the ramps sliding out from under you!

its that yours with the blue 7.5 ton hook lift? how do you find the hook lift? does it have a reduced capacity weight wise because of the extra equipment?

lost half a ton from when it was a tipper. but it it was worth it can now put skips out instead of sitting there waiting to be loaded
