Not keen on that "Diga-Bara"
Looks like it would be to hard to manouvre in a tight space and slow to track with the machine. Dumper would be far quicker, you may have to have another operator but while he was tipping the machine driver would be scratching together his next load.
Bet the groundwork lads will have something to say about it!!
Interesting though.

diga barra
waste of time, simply problem over complicated.
1 lad or 2 lads with barrows, a 600kg tracked dumper or a 1 ton dumper so much quicker than messing around with that. i reckon it's be quicker to pile it up, move pile it up move etc than mess around moving with that silly thing.
the egcon tilt hitches have bee around a while very popular in Scandinavia on rubber ducks etc, there handy bits of kit but your looking at £12k for one before the special buckets they take. if you are an owner operator running one machine then maybe worth the investment in saved time it re positioning etc. we run 8 excavators looking at best part of 100k to fit them all out with a hitch thats vulnerable in deep trenches and demolition work. like i say right job and owner operator machine then save a bit of shunting around and maybe finishing off by hand but just too much outlay on top of a 80K machine.
car wash appeals to my lazy side but prefer this one

this guy has gots some nice videos, i like his 24 ton volvo with the thumb and the machine mats busting the beaver dam he's a good operator.

new earthmovers just dropped through the door
this was in it as well as last months very cool and clever additions to mini excavators
whacker neuson vertical digging system

one would argue you could stick your tracks across the slope and use your blade but then you loose a lot of your breakout force and stability.

god yeah we used to have a old 1.2 yanmar, good old girl had her for 15 years or more always started first time but tiny cab, awful seat and like you say for 18 stone + lads a hard day, someone stole it before xmas though. i'll always take the new 3 ton kubota now if i can comfy seat, cd player and a heater that works well.
