It's an 8 tonner - yes for groundworks & bulk excavation work together for use as a loading shovel back at our yard, you can see the 80t of crushed concrete beside it and 500t of type1 behind it - when the 5 ton machine is out on site (ideal size) we only have a 3 ton machine to load wagons back at the yard.

The offset boom is very versatile, initially find it odd having it swinging around in from of you!

Haven't actually dug with it yet but the specs indicate a 4m+ digging depth!

Seems a shame to get it dirty, it's a habit of ours to have a picture of every new machine before it does any work with the family/children etc - pictures for the scrapbook to look back on in the future.

Got a pic of my daughter when she was about two with our three ton machine, snapped a pic just before she turned a whacked her head on a bucket tooth! Never forget that time.

Ah thats the standard TB175 model (non zero tailswing) machine Tony - and 4000 hrs! She's done some work!

We had a good deal on this machine; there is a backlong of them in the UK as obviously the site machine market has/had collapsed.

Cracking machine my local plant hire has one. They replaced the king pin over the summer for a cool 5 grand you have been warned.

Yeah it needs to be kept well greased, but that suits us as we grease our machines daily - whereas hired plant often comes to us dry of grease and creaking!

Plus the radiator etc needs to be kept clean and dust free as the fairly compact engine bay needs decent airflow to remain cool.

nice machine dave. Not seen one like that. your tarmac business must be doing ok for splashing out on something like this!

Was there a good finance deal on it?
