well its been a long time. Ordered a new shape cabstar double cab tipper back in May, and its arrival is supposed to be a month away.
Having a tacho factory fitted, ingimex titan tipper (not the nissan one its crap), towbar, and finished in red has all delayed the delivery time.

Anyone want to buy my old truck? a snip at £8000+vat?

ours took a while too dan?
why do you need the tacho?
is it the trailer?
pretty robust motors mechanically but if i got another i would get a steel back and a tipper
the ally back is a bit lightweight IMHO

Hi tony

the tacho is for the crusher hire side of things, and occasionally the digger. been stopped three times now, and they have insisted i need it. Will never use it. Had to buy a digital card for £30 from dvla, and have to have the unit calibrated every year too.
I agree with you on the body, which is why i chose the ingimex. Steel floor and headboard, and strong ally sides. Its coped with everything i could have wished for, even rubble being tipped into it from a dumper.
Will post piccies when it arrives!

Hi
sorry to be a bearer of bad news but im sure if you have as you say a "tacho" you are correct in saying you need a drivers card from the dvla but im sure you also need a "comany card" and then also software to download the information and store it ...

its crazy now all this stuff..

I think the company card won't apply as I am the company and the sole trader. But i will double check.

Fits and starts. at one point they were both out together, and i needed one for my job.
They are now both at the yard, ones had an annual service, the other is going in for some expensive work in a weeks time.

It seems to happen that they sit there for weeks , then all the hires come along at once!.
Nicking a few hires from the local red rhino boys though
