The search continues!... I have seen a 'honda TC40B' it has a 400 mm plate & is heavier than the belle it looks good on paper & is reasonably priced does anyone have any comments on reliability etc, i know the engines are good but is the rest up to it? if it's as good as the bikes it should be ok!

What will you be using it for? Patios and driveways or commercial work? It's a bit on the light side for commercial/public/civil work, but OK for patios and light driveways. With a Honda engine, you can't go wrong but I'm not so sure about the oscillator, the bit that makes it vibrate. From memory, Honda-branded plates were prone to breakdown of the vibration.

Sorry for the late reply, Mainly landscaping applications Tony so nothing too heavy. Yes well i did some more research & it is actually produced by a british industrial tool mfr (Hart industrial tools) who produce various tools for industry & the hire trade. so all looks kosha. Honda engine, ava mountings & i am told the oscillator is to the same standard as are in the 'wacker' models so i went & bought one anyway, Ive used it for only 5 hrs or so but first signs are promising ..... well the subbase went down enough anyway I will let you know if it blows up or starts spitting bolts at me!!
