The search continues!... I have seen a 'honda TC40B' it has a 400 mm plate & is heavier than the belle it looks good on paper & is reasonably priced does anyone have any comments on reliability etc, i know the engines are good but is the rest up to it? if it's as good as the bikes it should be ok! :)

What will you be using it for? Patios and driveways or commercial work? It's a bit on the light side for commercial/public/civil work, but OK for patios and light driveways. With a Honda engine, you can't go wrong but I'm not so sure about the oscillator, the bit that makes it vibrate. From memory, Honda-branded plates were prone to breakdown of the vibration.

Sorry for the late reply, Mainly landscaping applications Tony so nothing too heavy. Yes well i did some more research & it is actually produced by a british industrial tool mfr (Hart industrial tools) who produce various tools for industry & the hire trade. so all looks kosha. Honda engine, ava mountings & i am told the oscillator is to the same standard as are in the 'wacker' models so i went & bought one anyway, Ive used it for only 5 hrs or so but first signs are promising ..... well the subbase went down enough anyway I will let you know if it blows up or starts spitting bolts at me!! :)
