I do a small amount of coldwater plumbing from time to time and usually have a bundle of tube on the top of my van. I have noticed that it can't be left too long before somebody nicks it. Has anyone used one of these?

No use for one of those, unless they make them 5 metres long and then I could keep screed bars in it :)

I presume you mean when its left overnight? Wouldnt it be something else for them to steal. reckon it would be ideal for daytime use tho.

Took an old copper cylinder to the scrap yard the other week and nearly fell over when they paid me £43 for it !

As matt said "the way copper is going up" I think anything to keep it safe might be a good idea, by the way where did you say you leave your van ? :;):

i get 90p a kg for lead now,
that's quadrupled in the last 10 years

it could could go up a 100%, it still be worth bu66er all,
I get £60 a ton for steel, and therefore rarely bother.
70p kg for lead
70p Kg for aluminum (read beer cans)
330p kg for clean copper (striped cable and pipe without joints)
300p kg for old dull pipe, with paint and joints

don't get a look in on water tanks so I guess they could be worth something!
