I was wondering if anyone would know if it was possible to hire a router to cut stone or would you need to go to a specialist......

they exist for making signs and such like (but are big machine you take the stone to if you c what i mean)

i want to round off the the edge of some slabs to use as steps i found a little gadget now but its about $800....!!! ouch

you could use a clipper bench saw to put a 45deg
chamfer on them

i wood talk to a stonemason or a granite worktop supplier

could cut the dges then use a grinding stone, or planing head attached to a 4 inch electric cutter.
