I've been asked to concrete them in the ground as there is one horse who apparently just goes around trying to knock over the fences.

This thing certainly doesn't smash stone up like your tractor borer. IMO it is only suitable for making holes in perfect top soil. So I have written to HSS to ask for a refund as I believe their advertisement for this product is misleading. We shall wait and see....!!!

Hss are the most expensive and hardest people to deal with.
You need half a pound of flesh as id, and the paperwork is never ending.
Good luck with the refund. If they query it, get them to bring it back to site and try it .
To be honest, these are better than the manual ones, and it should have at least done some of the digging. I have used these in the past, and they only stop on the really big stones.
If the ground is as hard as you say, then banging the posts in at least 2' should be fine to stop a horse pushing the post over. a Different matter if the ground is soft. Still if the customer insists on you concreting them in, then that is what has got to be done.
It is worth asking a loacl farmer, or get hold of a 3tonne excavator with a borer on. If you mark the hole centres out accurately, you could bore them all in one hit, then put up the fence
